Suspect Information: prosecuted for misdemeanor battery

In 1969, while working as an undercover officer, Agent Haskell was severely beaten by four suspects while working with a confidential informant. He was hospitalized with the head injury and lapsed into a coma. Eventually he recovered and returned to work to but he had a difficult time performing his duties. In 1972, while on duty he was involved in an automobile accident and sustained additional head injuries and was hospitalized again. He died in 1975 from the injuries he sustained in both of these incidents.
